As the Summer Run comes to a close, it’s time to reflect for just a moment on all the blessings that have been poured out on our lives. That’s not to say that there haven’t been concerns. In writing this I remembered a song from the Dyo album back in 2003. It’s called The Balled of Kerr, and it shares the optimistic view of a dear departed friend (Ed Kerr), that when asked how he was doing, always responded, ‘nothing bad ever happens to me, because Jesus loves me.’ And yes, that’s my youngest (Maddy) singing.
Eddie was a guiding light
A beacon of hope in the darkest night
Whenever the water rose above his head
He smiled and laughed and then he said …
‘Nothing bad ever happens to me’

September Notes
As of this writing, there are still a few Summer Run dates to be completed. I’ve been blessed by the opportunities to share and hang with you all summer, and I’m looking forward to growing in the new relationships that have been a result of those gatherings. If we haven’t caught up yet, there’s still a couple of events left.
This past week Cross Rhythms released a nice review of the Worship in Spirit and Truth album. I really appreciate that they’re embracing diversity in worship music. Check out the review here.
I’m excited about the fall season. There are a number of projects near or completed for release, so keep an eye out for the new sights and sounds. I’ve also got a couple of new ministry opportunities that I’m praying over. Your prayers for clarity are welcome.
Now go, and play nice!
