The romance of train travel is not lost on me. I’ve fallen in love with the rhythm of the rails. In today’s race to rush world, Here’s a glimpse of a relaxed, and simpler time. I invite you to climb aboard and take a deep breath, maybe read that book you haven’t found the time to read, or better yet, just take a nap.

My prayer life is a work in progress. It seems it’s always under construction as I search for a deeper place to connect with God. On my next release, there’s a song called ‘A Gethsemane Wink’ in which I bare a bit of my journey, both the successes and also the shortcomings. After all, being broken means we never arrive and there’s always more work to be done.
I’m a prayer whisperer in need of a Gethsemane wink

October Notes
Over the weeks to come, I’ll be releasing songs from a new project called ‘Love Strands.’ The seeds of this album can be traced back to the spring of 2015 when I was experiencing a season of despair. In that moment of waiting, I was awakened to some of the most beautiful strands of love. As is my way, those sweet images and memories usually get shared through the medium of song. In this case, they make up the body of this work. It’s a genuine blessing to be able to share them, even if it’s one at a time.
Now go, and play nice!

As the Summer Run comes to a close, it’s time to reflect for just a moment on all the blessings that have been poured out on our lives. That’s not to say that there haven’t been concerns. In writing this I remembered a song from the Dyo album back in 2003. It’s called The Balled of Kerr, and it shares the optimistic view of a dear departed friend (Ed Kerr), that when asked how he was doing, always responded, ‘nothing bad ever happens to me, because Jesus loves me.’ And yes, that’s my youngest (Maddy) singing.
Eddie was a guiding light A beacon of hope in the darkest night Whenever the water rose above his head He smiled and laughed and then he said … ‘Nothing bad ever happens to me’

September Notes
As of this writing, there are still a few Summer Run dates to be completed. I’ve been blessed by the opportunities to share and hang with you all summer, and I’m looking forward to growing in the new relationships that have been a result of those gatherings. If we haven’t caught up yet, there’s still a couple of events left.
I’m excited about the fall season. There are a number of projects near or completed for release, so keep an eye out for the new sights and sounds. I’ve also got a couple of new ministry opportunities that I’m praying over. Your prayers for clarity are welcome.
Now go, and play nice!
